Built for working
for yourself.
Expensicat brings the financial side of a small business into one workspace. Built by a freelancer who needed it, too.
Self-funded. Built in Estonia.
The paperwork
was taking over.
When I went freelance, I had four clients, two bank accounts, and very little visibility into my finances. My system was a folder of receipt photos.
I used one tool for accounting, another for receipts, and spreadsheets to reconcile everything. Matching the records was still my job. In my first tax season, I discovered that missing receipts had cost me legitimate deductions.
So I started building what I needed: a place to collect receipts, connect accounts, match transactions, and prepare records for my accountant.
That grew into Expensicat. The goal is still the same: keep the routine work organised and make it clear when something needs your attention.
