Recurring Invoices

Create invoice schedules that automatically generate invoices at your chosen frequency. Perfect for retainers, subscriptions, and ongoing service agreements.

• Flexible frequencies: Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly
• Duration options: Set an end date, max invoice count, or run indefinitely
• Auto-send: Optionally send invoices automatically on their scheduled date
• Pre-generation: Invoices are created 14 days ahead for review and customization

AI-Powered Line Items

When enabled, Product Intelligence automatically updates date references in your line item descriptions for each new invoice period.

Example transformation:

• "Services for January 2026" → "Services for February 2026"
• "Q1 2026 Retainer" → "Q2 2026 Retainer"

Three modes available:

• Auto Apply: Updates are applied automatically
• Show: Review and approve suggestions before sending
• Hide: Disable AI suggestions entirely

Configure this in Settings → AI.

Series Management

Each recurring series includes:

• Visual timeline of past and upcoming invoices
• Pause, resume, or cancel at any time
• Edit series settings (frequency, items, end date)
• Reschedule options: "this invoice only" or "this and all future"

Custom Invoice Prefixes

Invoice number prefixes now support any format you prefer:

• INV- → INV-0001
• QB/ → QB/0001
• INV-DEP- → INV-DEP-0001

The prefix is fully customizable in your invoice template settings.
